Comments

When you leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, and the IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service Privacy Policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Direct submission

We collect information directly on our website (https://donniemac.uk) and social media platforms through contact and sign-up forms. We process this information on the basis of consent.

We use a third-party service to manage the contact details provided in this way. The third-party service is fully GDPR compliant, and you will have a clear option to withdraw consent every time we communicate with you.

Services and Products

We collect information when you submit it to us when requesting, or enquiring about, a service or product. We process this information on the grounds of contract.

Coaching services

When receiving a coaching service, you will be sharing information with us that may be considered sensitive or personal. This information will be shared by you on the basis of providing a contract.

This information is never shared with any third party. All notes made during the coaching process are held securely, notes are transferred into an encrypted digital format within a few days.

Cookies are used to store your preferences, information when commenting on posts, information for booking a service, and to give anonymised tracking data to third-party applications (they don’t track who you are) e.g., Google Analytics.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

Where we hold data for the purpose of marketing this will be held until such time as you opt-out. There will always be a clear method of opting out in all marketing communications.

When data and information is held to deliver a contract or service, the information will be deleted three years after completion of the contract or service. Contact details and testimonials will still be used for marketing purposes beyond three years unless you request otherwise

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Where we send your data

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

Where you submit contact details to receive our communications these are passed to Mailchimp for use in our marketing. Mailchimp have their own GDPR processes which can be read on their website.
